Contrast the role played by globalization in the stories about food told by: 1) Mintz and/or Gupta (“A Different History of the Present”) on the one hand, and 2): Ochs et. al., Reese, and/or Frazier and Gupta (“Tasting Independence”)on the other. Choose at least one reading from the first group and at least one from the second. Do the readings mean different things by the term “globalization”?
