  • *GETTING STARTED
  • Open the file SC_PPT19_EOM_8-1_FirstLastName_1.pptx, available for download from the SAM website.
  • Save the file as SC_PPT19_EOM_8-1_FirstLastName_2.pptx by changing the “1” to a “2”.
    • If you do not see the .pptx file extension in the Save As dialog box, do not type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically.
  • With the file SC_PPT19_EOM_8-1_FirstLastName_2.pptx still open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
    • If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy from the SAM website.
  • PROJECT STEPS
  1. As the project coordinator for Dawson & Associates Accounting, you are responsible for developing presentations that propose accounting and financial services for new clients. You have created a presentation outlining accounting services for a new client: GreenTech Consulting.
    Begin by selecting Landscape orientation for the entire presentation with the Maximize option selected. [Mac Hint – Choose Widescreen 16:9. The Maximize option will not appear for Mac users.]
  2. Switch to Handout Master view, then customize the Handout master as follows:
    Enter Accounting Proposal as the header text. Change the font size of the header text to 24-point. Change the handout orientation to Landscape. Exit Handout Master view.
  3. Switch to Notes Page view. On the Notes page for Slide 4 ("Proposal Components"), add the following note, then switch back to Normal view: We can also include financial planning services.
  4. Switch to Notes Master view, then customize the Notes Master as follows:
    Change the font for notes to Corbel to match the font used in the presentation. Enter Dawson & Associates Accounting as the footer text. Change the font size of the footer text to 18-point. Set an option to remove the date from the notes and exit Notes Master view to return to Normal view.
  5. Check the accessibility of the presentation to make sure all viewers can understand the slides. Go to the slide that contains the accessibility error, and then type: Add "Computer screen showing accounting data" as alt text for the picture. as a note for that slide.
  6. Create a Custom Slide Show that focuses on the overview slides only as follows:
    Use General as the name of the Custom Slide Show. Include Slides 2–4 in the Custom Slide Show.
  7. Set up the slide show so that each slide is displayed for 1 second before automatically advancing to the next slide with no mouse clicks.

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
